Steven Kolb has resigned as chief govt officer and president of the Council of Style Designers of America (CFDA), days after he was concerned in an altercation with PETA protesters at New York Style Week.

Kolb’s resignation follows an incident on the COS present on September 13, when animal-rights activists disrupted the runway to protest using wool. Video footage confirmed Kolb bodily intervening with two protesters.

Kolb subsequently acknowledged that he had responded inappropriately and stated the scenario ought to have been dealt with by safety. He took a voluntary depart of absence whereas the CFDA carried out a evaluation of the incident.  

In an announcement asserting his departure, the CFDA board of administrators stated Kolb had been “a devoted chief and tireless champion of American vogue” throughout greater than 20 years with the group, together with 15 years as CEO.
