Two native standout student-athletes now taking part in on the faculty degree have acquired weekly honors from their convention.

Aaliyah Anderson, of South Mills, and Harper Evans, of Edenton, had been every named Athletes of the Week for Sept. 21 by the USA South Athletic Convention.

Anderson, a sophomore at William Peace College in Raleigh, is USA South’s Volleyball Participant of the Week.

Evans, a freshman at Methodist College in Fayetteville, is the convention’s Volleyball Rookie of the Week.

The 2 groups performed one another on Saturday at March F. Riddle Middle in Fayetteville. The visiting William Peace Pacers gained 3-2.

Anderson performed at Camden County Excessive for coach Ashley Miller and was a part of the Bruins’ squad that superior to the state 2A highschool volleyball championship towards Brevard. The Blue Devils gained 3-0.

In opposition to Methodist and Pfeiffer College (Sept. 17) final week, Anderson averaged 3.33 kills, with a .333 hitting, a USA South information launch states.

Anderson posted 20 kills, 4 digs and 4 blocks for the week.

Evans, of Edenton, performed at John A. Holmes Excessive for coach Courtney Smith and was a part of the 2025 workforce that completed 25-4 and superior to the state 2A east regional last. The Perquimans Pirates gained 3-1.

Evans averaged 7.89 assists and a couple of.67 digs per set because the Monarchs posted a 1-1 report final week towards USA South opponents, the discharge states.
