MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Three cross nation student-athletes earned Convention USA weekly honors after their performances on the Tennessee Invitational in Knoxville, Tenn. final Friday, the league workplace introduced Tuesday afternoon.
Evalyne Wambui and Allan Kiplagat have been named the Ladies’s and Males’s Athlete of the Week and Viviana Salonia earned Ladies’s Freshman of the Week honors.
Wambui positioned fourth within the three-mile race with a time of 18:58.95. She was the highest finisher for the Blue Raiders, ending forward of runners from Tennessee and Kentucky. The glory marks Wambui’s second Convention USA Athlete of the Week award as a Blue Raider.
Kiplagat led the sector within the four-mile race, crossing the end line in 19:12.38. His first-place end amongst 23 runners earned him the person tile and made him the quickest junior within the competitors. Kiplagat’s efficiency helped lead Center Tennessee to a staff victory over Tennessee and Kentucky. This marks Kiplagat’s fourth Convention USA Athlete of the Week honors as a Blue Raider.
